Another Kirby Epic Fail!: Caleb Maupin Rips State Dept Propaganda To Shreds At Press Conference

If failing at propaganda was a contest, John Kirby would be one of the finalists for first place. Indeed, Kirby’s obvious narcissism and unbridled arrogance when dealing with the usually subservient press is apparent every time he steps up to the podium. However, as the American propaganda regarding the crisis in Syria becomes more and more absurd by the day, Kirby and his masters in the White House are having a harder time keeping their narrative together.

So long as Western journalists keep quiet in the face of Kirby’s ridiculous statements, everything tends to work well for the State Department. However, if a journalist ever dares to ask a real question, the State Department narrative immediately falls apart, demonstrating how fragile it was to begin with.

This is exactly what happened when Caleb Maupin simply questioned Kirby on his easily disproven lies that people were not celebrating the liberation of Aleppo. After Maupin called into question Kirby’s claims and his reliance on Western “reputable” outlets like CNN which itself relied on the Twitter accounts of terrorists, Kirby responded with his typical arrogance challenging Maupin on his knowledge of the veracity of the Twitter accounts. Maupin responded by demolishing the reliability of those Twitter accounts and utterly humiliating Kirby in front of everyone in the room and those watching from their homes.


Kirby was actually forced to then admit that “people will have to decide for themselves what they’re going to find credible and what they’re not going to find credible.”
