Shortly after a video emerged showing the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations, Abdallah al-Mouallimi failing miserably in an effort to justify his nation’s call for elections in Syria while simultaneously refusing to agree to elections in Saudi Arabia, a new contender for “worst defense of your nation in an interview” emerged. This time, the miserable fail comes from the United States and State Department Spokesman Mark Toner.

In another example of what happens when a Western, GCC, or Israeli political figure is simply asked a real question and even timidly held to the fire, Toner was asked whether or not the recent victory of the Syrian Army over ISIS in Palmyra was a positive development. In fact, the question was direct; did he prefer ISIS or Assad control Palmyra? Such a question would provoke an easy answer on the side of Assad from any reasonable person. But Toner does not represent a reasonable person or a reasonable government. He represents the U.S. State Department.

If there was ever any question what hypocrisy looks like in the flesh, Abdallah al-Mouallimi, the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the United Nations, put on a live display when he agreed to an interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan.

Hasan merely asked Mouallimi a simple question – why elections were being demanded for Syria when the same is not tolerated in Saudi Arabia. Mouallimi’s attempt to dodge the question were rebuffed by Hasan and what resulted was Mouallimi not only admitting his country’s lack of respect for the right of Saudi citizens to choose their own leaders but also that Saudi Arabia has ulterior motives for its attempt to destroy the secular Syrian government.

The entire clip of the interview, being widely shared across the internet, is a classic example of real journalistic questioning and the inability of world leaders to justify their imperialist actions against Syria.

About ten months ago, the World Heritage Site, the city of Palmyra, fell under control of the so-called “ISIS” or “ISIL,” a network of terrorists that would not even be in existence were it not for the support of the United States and the “U.S.-led coalition.”

During the time that the U.S. was supposedly engaged in its fight against ISIS, hundreds of ISIS convoys crossed great distances in the Syrian and Iraqi deserts, from Ramadi in Iraq to Palmyra City in Syria, all under the eyes and the advanced radar systems of the U.S.-led coalition. Of course, this coalition didn’t even lift a finger despite the fact that they saw all of this happening.

Since 2013, the U.S- led coalition in Syria and Iraq has been “fighting ISIS” but the presence of the coalition has actually led to a viral spread of the terrorist organization within Syria and Iraq. ISIS then began destroying the historical heritage of both countries in order to eliminate any cultural background of the real civilizations of these countries, much like the Israeli method that removes the real identity of the land it occupies. Even the United States’ reaction to the spread of ISIS was a disgrace.

Spokesman for the U.S. State Department, Marie Harf, declared that the U.S. could do nothing to prevent this destruction and added that, because of this, the United States is trying to push ISIL out of Iraq and that they are trying to help the Syrian “opposition” push back against ISIL in Syria!

U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, declared that U.S. airstrikes have slowed the ISIS advances but that defeating the jihadists could take years.

Yet such a statement ignores the fact that many times the U.S. has “mistakenly” dropped weapons to ISIS fighters themselves.

35 Chocolate Companies Tested Positive For High Amounts Of Lead And Cadmium

As Easter approaches, one of the days for chocolate sales of the year, new concerns are emerging regarding levels of dangerous heavy metals and their presence in name brand chocolates.

The news was brought out to the public as a result of a report released by As You Sow, and Oakland-based health watchdog group that tested a number of chocolatesfor the presence of heavy metals. What the group found was that many of these brands contained up to triple the legal limit in California of lead and cadmium. After testing 50 types of chocolate, the groups says that 35 tested positive for the illegal and high levels of lead or cadmium or both.

There’s no safe limit of lead set for children. The metal has been known to cause a variety of types of neurological damage and lower IQ. Cadmium has been linked to bone damage as well as kidney and liver damage. Both of these metals can remain in the human body for years.

“We assumed that companies were testing their products before they put them on the market, but they’re not.” Andrew Behar, CEO of As You Sow said.

The watchdog organization says that it approached all of the companies named in their report but only two asked to work with them in order to fix the problem. The other companies simply denied any wrongdoing.

The battle for Palmyra has begun and it has not gotten off to a great start for Western-backed ISIS/terrorist fighters. What was once one of the most publicized instances of ISIS victory in Syria as well as the brutality and fanatical nature of the Western proxies is now becoming an example of the resilience and determination of the Syrian Army and the unwillingness of the Syrian people to submit to Western imperialism.

This is because SAA incursions into Palmyra from the East, West, and South of the city are spelling the end (and a very near one) for ISIS. Members of the Desert Falcons team, the SAA, and Syrian Specials Operations forces have entered the city and are now in the process of taking out the ISIS fighters stationed there in a combination of tactics ranging from air assaults to tanks and even hand to hand combat. Many terrorists have been reportedly killed by bayonet as well as by SAA bombing.

According to some reports, surgical strikes are being made possible due to civilians working with the SAA and Syrian intelligence forces and providing exact locations of strongholds, headquarters, and fortifications.

Ziad Fadel of Syrian Perspective is predicting the fall and liberation of Palmyra within a day.

ISIS Attacked Brussels? The US Created ISIS? Therefore?

I want to acknowledge two researchers and reporters, whose work cuts deeply into the ISIS mirage: Tony Cartalucci and Brandon Turbeville. In a half-sane world, Cartalucci would be the international editor of the New York Times, if the Times were a real news outlet.

If we accept the premise that ISIS attacked Brussels, then the next question is: what is ISIS?

Who is behind it? Who supplies it? Who funds it? Who sustains it?

Brandon Turbeville, writing at Activist Post (“Congress Votes To Fight ISIS By Funding ISIS To Fight Assad”, 9/19/2014), states:

Obama’s plan [is] to ‘detect and degrade’ ISIS…the reality is that the plan is nothing more than a plan to…destroy the Syrian government to benefit of ISIS and other fundamentalist groups that the United States has created, funded, trained, and directed since the very beginning of the Syrian crisis.

Cartalucci, in an article titled, “In Syria, There Are No Moderates” (9/2013), writes:

…there were never, nor are there any ‘moderates’ operating in Syria. The West has intentionally armed and funded Al Qaeda and other sectarian extremists since as early as 2007 in preparation for an engineered sectarian bloodbath serving US-Saudi-Israeli interests. This latest bid to portray the terrorists operating along and within Syria’s borders as ‘divided’ along extremists/moderate lines is a ploy to justify the continued flow of Western cash and arms into Syria to perpetuate the conflict, as well as create conditions along Syria’s borders with which Western partners, Israel, Jordan, and Turkey, can justify direct military intervention [in Syria].

Former Nixon Aide Admits War On Drugs Was A Big Lie; Was Never About Drugs

In an interview conducted by Harper’s Dan Baum nearly 22 years ago, former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman admitted what many have known ever since the beginning – that the Nixon administrations’ War On Drugs was a giant lie.

To clarify, it was not Nixon’s police state that was a lie. That was very real. It was the justification used for the war, the fearmongering, and the panic-inducing hype produced by the White House that was a monumental obfuscation.

Ehrlichman doesn’t mince words when he discusses the War On Drugs and it is not inference suggesting that the justification given for the War on Drugs was a lie. In fact, Ehrlichman even states that the policy was in order to attack political rivals and alleged “threats” to the Nixon administration like “blacks and hippies.”

“The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people,” Ehrlichman said.

"You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin. And then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities," Ehrlichman said. "We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."

Possible Signs Of False Flag In Brussels Now Emerging

Yet another terrorist attack in Europe to be blamed on Islamic extremists and ISIS and yet another instance of the suspects in the attacks being previously known to security services and intelligence agencies in the years, months, weeks, and days leading up to the event. That is exactly what happened in Brussels, Belgium on March 22, 2016.

Lending credence to those who suggest that the Brussels attacks were false flags (meaning directed, orchestrated, or allowed by Western intelligence agencies), it is being reported that, yet again, the perpetrators were known to police and security services prior to the attack suggesting a number of possibilities in the false flag vein such as 1.) That the security services knew an attack was being planned and allowed it to continue 2.) That the intelligence agencies organized the attack from the very beginning.

Building a case for the false flag argument sees a number of points to be made that, while not conclusively proving that such is the case, they do provide a good reason to question the official narrative.

The identities, criminal history, and jihadist history of the assailants were already known to security services prior to the attacks.

Khalid and Brahim El Bakraoui, the two men suspected of being blowing themselves up during the attack on the airport, had been arrested for violent crimes in Belgium prior to the attacks but were both curiously released.

Brahim El Bakraoui was convicted in 2010 of shooting at police officers with a Kalashnikov during the process of committing an armed robbery. Brahim was sentenced to nine years but was curiously free and able to commit a terrorist attack only six years later.

Turkey's Erdogan Warns Of Attacks In Brussels Four Days Before Event Took Place

In an instance of bizarre timing or, perhaps, foreknowledge, Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan warned Europe only four days ago that it could see terrorist bombings and attacks in its cities in the near future if it does not cease support for and cooperation with Kurdish “militants.”

Interestingly enough, Erdogan mentioned Brussels as a potential target by name.

Only four days before the Brussels attacks, Erdogan spoke at a commencement ceremony for the 101st anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli in Canakkale, Turkey on March, 18 where he stated that “there is no reason why the bomb that exploded in Ankara cannot explode in Brussels, in any other European city.”

“The snakes you are sleeping with can bite you any time,” he added.

While ISIS, a Western-created and NATO-directed terrorist organization, has claimed credit for the bombings, it should be pointed out that Erdogan was referring to “Kurdish militants,” whom Turkey considers terrorists.

Turkey, the United States, and Belgium all consider the PKK a terrorist organization but the West has been working closely with the Syrian Kurds (PYD,YPG) on the ground in Syria for their own geopolitical agenda.

Nevertheless, Erdogan’s statement is interesting considering the fact that the Brussels attacks came shortly after his warning which predicted not only the attack but the location.

Clinton Emails Reveal Plan To Destroy Syria, Target Iran, Threaten Assad's Family

Author's Note: The quotes for this article were provided by virtue of a Wikileaks release of the trove of emails belonging to Hillary Clinton. While Wikileaks merely provided the "email" text, the quotes are actually from an article written by James P. Rubin for Foreign Policy entitled "The Real Reason To Intervene In Syria." Thus, the email is not an email at all, but a published article most likely in Clinton's inbox by virtue of someone having mailed it to her or having signed up for Foreign Policy's newsletter. While the quotes in this article are not Clinton's words nor are they an email communication, the article will remain posted due to the fact that the quotes are indeed real and thus, an important statement coming from one of the premier organizations involved in the creation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy planning. The Hillary Clinton emails have recently been released by virtue of Clinton’s use of a private email server, Wikileaks, and the Freedom of Information Act and they stand as potentially one of the most damning sets of emails ever exposed to the light of day. With 30,322 emails having been written or received by Clinton and the fact that Clinton herself has been so heavily involved in untold amounts of treachery during her tenure as Secretary of State alone, the emails are a veritable treasure trove of both incriminating information for Clinton and vindicating information for those who have been critical of her in the past.

One email alone regarding the Syrian crisis demonstrates the veracity of what many who have been labeled “conspiracy theorists” have claimed for years – namely, that the United States has organized, directed, and supported the destabilization of Syria for its own geopolitical goals as well as those of Israel.[1] It also confirms the methodology and geopolitical goals behind the destabilization as well as cynical and brazen attempts by the Clinton State Department and Obama White House to go so far as to put Assad’s family in danger in order to intimidate him into abandoning his post.

The email reveals how the United States was determined to destroy Syria both for its own geopolitical purposes but also in order to cripple Iran and Hezbollah, both for the United States and Israel’s benefit, with the essential encirclement and weakening of the Iranian position being one of the goals. The author is clearly in favor of a direct U.S. military assault on Syria and all of these objectives, according to the emails, were worth risking a military confrontation with Russia.

Like virtually every other political position in her career, Hillary Clinton has attempted to play both sides of the aisle – depending upon what audience she happens to be speaking to. When it comes to the issue of illegal immigration, however, Clinton’s actual positions seem relatively clear, despite her political fence sitting. Clinton has vocally supported the concept of “sanctuary cities,” and providing drivers licenses to illegal immigrants. She has supported allowing illegal immigrants to participate in Social Security and providing limited medical care to illegal immigrants via Medicaid.[1] She also supported and introduced legislation that would have funded and provided social and educational services to illegals.

In the 2007 Presidential debate held at Dartmouth College, Clinton vocalized her support for Sanctuary Cities:

Q: Would you allow “sanctuary cities” to ignore the federal law & provide sanctuary to immigrants? 

A: Why do they have sanctuary cities? In large measure because if local law enforcement begins to act like immigration enforcement officers, you will have people not reporting crimes. You will have people hiding from the police. That is a real direct threat to the personal safety and security of all the citizens. So this is a result of the failure of the federal government, and that’s where it needs to be fixed. 

Is Pennsylvania Set To Be The Next State To Legalize Medical Marijuana?

If all goes well Pennsylvania may become the next state to pass a medical marijuana program allowing for restricted use and access to marijuana for medical purposes. This is because a bill has passed the Pennsylvania House by a vote of 149 to 43 that would establish standards for doctors, growers and dispensaries as well as allow patients to consume marijuana in pill, liquid or oil forms.

The law would have strict standards on who and for what reason the marijuana could be procured. Medical marijuana patient would need to have a serious condition such as cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, glaucoma, or chronic/intractable pain. Under the bill, the state would license as many as 50 dispensaries and up to 25 processors and growers. Patients would not be able to obtain marijuana they are able to smoke.

Representative Jim Cox stated,

Today we have the opportunity of offering hope to the parents of these children, to the patients, offering the hope of letting them, along with their doctors, decide how to best treat the conditions they’re dealing with on a daily basis.

But despite the fact that the bill was passed by an overwhelming majority, not all members of the Pennsylvania House supported the bill.

If anyone was wondering about the argument coming from one of the 43 House members who maintained that a harmless and beneficial plant present in nature should continue to be considered illegal and that not even the sickest Pennsylvania citizens should have access to it – enter: Majority Whip Bryan Cutler. Cutler said,

Study Shows Psilocybin, LSD Very Successful In Treating Cluster Headaches

While cluster headaches may be one of the rarest types of headaches, they are also one of the most severe. Contrary to popular belief, cluster headaches are not migraines, but they have a number of similarities.

In fact, cluster headaches can be more severe and intense than a migraine, but they do not last as long as migraines. Cluster headaches are set apart by their distinct cluster period which may last from about two weeks and even up to three months with episodes occurring one to three times a day. Interestingly enough, cluster headaches seem to occur at the same time each year. Some research suggests that they are related to the circadian rhythm or biological clock.

Little is really known about the causes of cluster headaches, and treatment usually includes abortive medications like Sumatriptan or other triptans as well as preventive medications like Lithium or even surgery. Yet a safer, highly successful, but much less publicized treatment appears to exist – psilocybin and LSD.

Because of the ridiculous drug war that purports to act as the proverbial father of the citizenry, policing their moral and personal behavior and attempting to limit the ways in which the average person can allegedly hurt themselves, public research into the medical and spiritual benefits of psychedelic substances is relatively small.

Still, some research has been conducted such as the Sewell study entitled, “Response of cluster headache to psilocybin and LSD” published in the journalNeurology on June 27, 2006. The authors of the study interviewed 53 cluster headache patients who had used either LSD or psilocybin to treat their condition. Of the 26 psilocybin users, 22 reported that the substance aborted the attacks. Of 48 psilocybin users, 25 reported an end to their cluster period. Seven out of eight LSD users also reported an end to their cluster period.

GMA Found Guilty Of Massive Anti-Labeling Corporate Donation Coverup

The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) was found guilty on Friday, March 11, of violating the “spirit and letter” of the state of Washington’s Campaign Finance Disclosure Laws by attempting to shield the identities of the corporations that dumped millions of dollars into a campaign to defeat a GMO food labeling initiative that was gaining steam across the state.

The guilty verdict was handed down by the Washington Superior court. The case was originally filed in October 2013 by the Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson after the AG’s office became aware of the fact that the GMA was hiding the identities of anti-labeling donor corporations.

According to Ferguson, the GMA raised $14 million dollars from its members for the “Defense of Brands” fund far above and above the dues regularly charged to members. Over the course of the anti-labeling campaign the GMA was the largest single-donor to the “No on 522” initiative, spending $22 million dollars to stop labeling.

Initiative 522 would have required the labeling of GMO food, seeds, and seed products across the state if it had passed. After receiving the $14 million dollars in special solicitations from its members, the GMA donated $11 million of that money to the “No on 522” initiative.

However, instead of listing the money as coming from the corporations who donated it, only the GMA was listed. This was done in order to protect the identities of the individual companies from laws requiring proper disclosure and to effectively allow the GMA to act as the spearhead and the scapegoat for a collective corporate assault on food freedom.

Lebanon Levels New Spying Allegations Against Israel After Warplane “Violates” Airspace

Almasdar News is now reporting that, according to a Lebanese military source, an Israeli warplane has violated Lebanese airspace over the villages of Arqoub and Hasbaya before eventually reaching the Jabal Sheikh Heights, located on the Israeli/Lebanese border.

The military source is suggesting that the Israeli plan was most likely conducting a surveillance mission since it spent around half an hour in Lebanese airspace before heading back to Israel.

This report comes only two days after Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV station reported that a “transmission and photographic spy device” was discovered on the Lebanon/Israel border. Al-Manar claims the device belongs to Israel.

Throughout the years, Lebanon has repeatedly claimed to have discovered Israeli espionage devices in its territory. In December, Lebanese media reported that two Israeli devices were found within two days in Lebanon - one was destroyed by the Lebanese army and the second reportedly remotely blown up by Israel. 

In March 2011, the Lebanese army announced it had found and dismantled a device disguised as a rock, which Israel planted near the southern port city of Tyre. 

In December 2010, the Lebanese army announced it had dismantled Israeli spying devices hidden in the mountains. That was two weeks after the Lebanese government filed a complaint with the UN Security Council, claiming Israel planted espionage equipment in southern Lebanon. 

Russia To Deliver 40 Attack Helicopters To Algeria As Part Of Contract Deal

In yet another example of the growing influence and reputation of Russia on the international stage, particularly when it comes to the question of “fighting terrorism,” Algeria will soon receive 40 MI-28 attack helicopters from Russia.

The helicopter, known as the “Night Hunter” in Russia, is reported to be one of the best in the world and it capable of carrying out its missions in both day and night as well as in adverse weather conditions. The helicopter comes with a MI-28NE modification capability that allows the ship to be flown from the pilot’s cockpit and the operator pilot’s cockpit.

The delivery of the Russian helicopters to Algeria is nothing new. In 2005-2006, Russia provided Algeria with 28 Su-30MKA, 16 Yak-130 jet trainers and 185 T-90S tanks. In 2015, a contract was signed for the delivery of 14 Su-30MKA fighters in 2016-2017. The current transfer of the MI-28 helicopters are the result of a bilateral agreement between Russia and Algeria.

"The Algerian military is satisfied with the quality of Russian weapons, which has proven itself well in the specific conditions here, namely the desert with its extremely high temperatures and sandstorms. So there are good prospects for continuing close cooperation in the military-technical area on a wide nomenclature of supplies," Alexander Zolotov, Russian Ambassador to Algeria, told RIA Novosti in an interview.

Yet, while the deliveries are not newsworthy in and of themselves, the context in which they occur are worth discussing.

The news saying Russia is planning to withdraw its troops from syria was shocking.
What is really happening? Are Russians in a deal with the Americas?

At this point, we are really left with more questions than answers. Most likely, the Russian announcement was more politically based than anything else. For instance, one aspect of the announcement, particularly since it coincides with the new "ceasefire" agreement and the United Nations "peace talks," is that it allows Russia to appear as the most rational actor in the fight and the side most committed to actual peace in Syria. This has been Russia's methodology since the beginning of its involvement in the crisis where the United States - when forced to go toe to toe with Russia politically - has ended up with egg on its face every time. Remember, when the U.S. wanted to invade Syria under the pretext of chemical weapons usage, the Russians swooped in and negotiated a deal to remove Syria's chemical weapons stockpile. Many had valid arguments against the disarmament, but, politically speaking, Russia came away looking diplomatic and peaceful while the West, especially the U.S., came away looking like the bloodthirsty warmonger that it is. On numerous occasions, when the U.S. was screaming at the top of its lungs that peace could only come from "rebel" victory or the removal of Assad, the Russians came in and organized "peace talks" of their own. These talks ultimately failed but the result portrayed the Russians as leaning toward peace and diplomacy while the U.S. was bent upon bloody warfare. I mention this to point out that Russia has been incredibly shrewd and effective on the political front as well as the military front and the recent announcement seems to be one more aspect of that.

The second aspect is that, domestically, Russia is now able to tout a "mission accomplished" moment, a sort of victorious military triumph, without actually landing on an aircraft carrier and essentially declaring the mission over. Putin is able to have his cake and eat it too by pointing out that some military objectives have been achieved but not claiming the mission is over and leaving Assad to the wolves.

George Soros is most well-known for playing a major role in the funding and facilitating of the "Bulldozer Revolution" in Serbia that overthrew Slobodan Milosevic in 2000, Georgia’s "Rose Revolution" of 2003, the 2006 push to move Turkey toward a more Islamist governing structure, and even the Occupy movement in the United States among a great many others – none of which brought anything other than greater misery, impoverishment, and police state mechanisms to bear on the general public.[1] The Occupy movement, being the only exception, still brought nothing to its participants except the opportunity to burn off excess anger and energy along with a few cracked protester skulls. It was otherwise an incredible waste of time.

Soros is a well-known patron of the American Left – generally radicalized identity politics and cultural Marxist organizations and causes. His numerous think-tanks, Foundations, and NGO’s often make his money difficult to track. The money that is known about, however, demonstrates that Soros is clearly a “color revolution” artist and that his efforts inside the United States are as effective as his efforts overseas.

Thus, it is noteworthy that the Clinton campaign, via a number of PACs and Super PACs, have been aligning themselves with Soros and his apparatus.

Kurds in Northern Syria have declared a federal system in Syria, with the areas they have seized in the northern part of the country designated to act as an autonomous zone. The official declaration came on March 16, with reports like those coming from the BBC reaching western audiences on March 17. According to reports, the conference at which the federation of three Kurdish entities in Syria took place was located in Rmeilan.

Kurdish journalist Barzan Iso confirmed the initial rumors surrounding the Kurdish declaration to RT earlier on March 16 when he stated that “Now the conference has just started in Rmelan, about 200 representatives of Rojava have joined [the event]. They represent different ethnicities and nationalities. There are Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, Syriacs, Turkomans, Armenians, Circassians and Chechen. Also we have representatives from the Syrian democratic forces, YPG, women defense units. This conference is supposed to announce a federation as a political project for Rojava region in northern Syria.”

The “new project” is designed to replace the currently autonomous zone of Rojava by formally creating a Federation of Northern Syria incorporating the 250 miles of Kurdish-held territory along the Syria-Turkey border with the section of the northwestern border near the Afrin area. At least, this is the plan as relayed by Idris Nassan, an official working in the Foreign Affairs Directorate of Kobane (Ayn al-Arab). The new system entails “widening the framework of self-administration which the Kurds and others have formed,” he said.

Rojova only received a degree of autonomy in 2013, when Syrian forces were overwhelmed by Western-backed terrorists and were forced to abandon much of the territory now occupied by Kurdish militias such as the YPG and others. In place of the SAA, the NDF and other Syrian patriot militias, as well as Kurdish forces, remained and fought terrorists gallantly to the point of securing large swaths of border territory.

Hillary Clinton’s War On Women

During the height of Bill Clinton’s sex scandals, Hillary ran interference that would have made any PR manager or mafia Don proud. Adding to the suspicion that Clinton’s marriage was nothing more than a marriage of convenience and political expediency, Clinton searched out almost all of the women accusing Slick Willy of sexual harassment, assault, and rape and launched a “smear campaign” against them.

While Clinton campaigns on Democratic party wedge issues like the “war on women” when it comes to issues like abortion, feminism, and the phantom pay gap, her real history with women’s issues is much more troubled.

As Brent Scher wrote in his article “Hillary Clinton’s Long History of Targeting Women,” for the Washington Free Beacon,

Hillary Clinton’s expected presidential campaign is being built around women’s issues, but women who have gotten in the way of her family’s political goals in the past have often been subjected to her wrath. 

As Clinton has appeared at multiple events for women over the past several weeks, her record as an advocate for women has come under increased scrutiny.[1] [2] [3]
Women who have accused her husband, former President Bill Clinton, of sexual misconduct have received special criticism from the former first lady. 

One victim of Clinton’s wrath was Monica Lewinsky, whom Clinton called a “narcissistic loony toon” in private conversations with close friend Diane Blair.[4]
Lewinsky was not the only woman who had a sexual relationship with Bill targeted by Hillary: she called Gennifer Flowers “trailer trash.”[5] 

What The Russian “Withdrawal” From Syria Means And What It Doesn’t

With the recent announcement by Vladmir Putin that Russia is beginning a withdrawal of specific military personnel and equipment from Syria on Tuesday, March 15, the Western corporate media has been on fire with speculation that Russia is evacuating the country, retreating, and giving up on its military objectives. Indeed, the Western press is presenting the Russian announcement as a total withdrawal and a quick move out the exit door.

Those who are both pro-Assad and anti-Assad have all shared their opinions, with many even on the pro-Assad/pro-Russian side opposing the Russian scale down of military involvement out of fear that the Russians are abandoning Assad. At the crux of this opposition to the Russia move, of course, is the fundamental misunderstanding of what the “withdrawal” actually is.

The Withdrawal

Despite the presentation of the Russian announcement as a total pullout from Syria, coming with everything except pictures of Syrian civilians hanging on to helicopters and airplanes being dumped at sea, the “withdrawal” is merely the reduction of specific military personnel and equipment. The withdrawal is not really a withdrawal in the sense that most readers would understand it. Instead, it is being presented as such by Western press outlets for propaganda purposes.

Remember, Putin has made it clear that the Tartus port will remain open and that the airbases Russia has previously established and operated from will remain functional. Russia is also continuing to drop bombs on ISIS positions. Indeed, on the night before the “withdrawal” was scheduled to begin, Russian planes obliterated a number of ISIS strongholds near Palmyra.

Putin Orders "Main Part" Of Russian Forces In Syria To Begin Withdrawal

In a surprising move, Russian President Vladmir Putin has apparently ordered the “main part” of Russian forces stationed in Syria to being withdrawing from the country starting on Tuesday.

In a Monday meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Putin reportedly stated that “I consider the objectives that have been set for the Defense Ministry to be generally accomplished. That is why I order to start withdrawal of the main part of our military group from the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic starting from tomorrow.”

RT reports that a telephone conversation was held on Monday evening at Moscow’s behest between both the Syrian and Russian Presidents regarding Putin’s decision.

Putin did state that the Hmemim airbase and the Russian contingent operating at the port of Tartus would continue to function as normal. He also stated that both operations must continue to be protected “from land, air, and sea.”

"The effective work of our military created the conditions for the start of the peace process," Putin said.

"I believe that the task put before the defense ministry and Russian armed forces has, on the whole, been fulfilled. With the participation of the Russian military... the Syrian armed forces and patriotic Syrian forces have been able to achieve a fundamental turnaround in the fight against international terrorism and have taken the initiative in almost all respects," he added.

Virginia State Congress Passes Bill To Allow Specific Marijuana Oil Production In State

It appears that, after decades of oppressive and freedom-crushing drug legislation, even the state of Virginia is being forced to come to grips with the rising tide of public opinion that no longer views marijuana as the substance equivalent to al-Qaeda.

Fresh on the heels of a bill that was passed by the Virginia House and Senate and signed into law by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe that allowed for the possession of marijuana oil that is being used to treat intractable epilepsy, Virginia lawmakers have recently passed legislation that will allow for the production of that oil in the state.

Back in February 2015, an emotional testimony by parents of children suffering from daily seizures (as well as a 14-year-old girl who actually had a seizure during the committee hearing), Virginia lawmakers agreed on legislation that would allow Virginia citizens to possess and use marijuana oil for the treatment of epilepsy. Anyone possessing this oil must have a doctor’s certification that it is being used to treat intractable epilepsy.

The bill also allowed doctors to issue these types of certifications. To be clear, the law did not legalize marijuana oil; in fact, possession of the oil even with a doctor’s certification is still technically illegal. However, the law provides what is known as an “affirmative defense” from prosecution for anyone that possesses the certification. Essentially, the oil is still illegal but prosecutors will be prevented from prosecuting these specific cases.

Tampa City Votes To Decriminalize Possession Of Small Amounts Of Cannabis

It’s rare when a city council mayor, police chief and anti-drugwar activist can agree on a new marijuana proposal, but that’s exactly what’s happening in Tampa, Florida. Tampa council members passed a new ordinance in a 6-to-1 vote that will decriminalize the possession of smaller amounts of marijuana. The new measure will see people who possess 20 grams or less of cannabis be issued a $75 citation for their first offense, $150 for their second, and $450 for a third or any other offenses.

The possession of 20 grams or less will also cease to be classified as a misdemeanor. Possession of more than 20 grams will still be classified as a felony. Tampa Police Department Chief, Eric Ward, who supports the measure stated, “This is not a get-out-of-jail-free card – this is to target those first time offenders that made a mistake and giving them the opportunity not to get into that criminal process.”

A founding member of the Hillsborough County Anti-Drug Alliance, disagrees, however. She told News Channel 8, “When you talk about second chances, we don’t mean third, fourth, fifth, sixth. The way the ordinance [is] written right now, they can get a citation multiple times, and there’s no requirement for any assessment, education or treatment. That’s what concerns us.”

We are not sure if this member spoke in front of the council or if there was a collective sigh of disdain from the audience when she uttered her statement, but there was most certainly a sigh of disdain when it was read.

Could New Hampshire See Marijuana Decriminalized?

According to an article by Tom Angell, of Marijuana.com, the New Hampshire House of Representatives approved a bill on March 10, that would decriminalize the possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana. Currently, New Hampshire state law considers the possession of any amount of cannabis to be a misdemeanor worth of a fine of up to $2,000 as well as up to one year in prison.

The new bill, however, would replace the criminal penalties with fines, increasing with the number of violations. For instance, $100 for a first-time offense, $200 for a second, and $500 for a third or subsequent offenses. According Angell, the passage of this bill by the House actually reverses a recommendation by the Chambers Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee which voted against decriminalization.

In an interview with Marijuana.com, the New England political director for the Marijuana Policy Project stated that,

The Senate almost worked out a governor-supported compromise that would have decriminalized first offenses only, 1/4 ounce or less, but the deal fell apart on the Senate floor the last day of session. By passing this bill we are essentially giving the Senate and governor a ‘do-over.’ It seems likely that we’ll be able to get something done, but it probably won’t be as good as decrim laws in other New England states.

DiGiorno, Lean Cuisine, Stouffer’s Recall Over Glass Particles In Food

DiGiorno pizzas, Stouffer’s and Lean Cuisine are all making the rounds in the news headlines as of late. But it is not because of a new product line or new marketing strategy – it is because of a massive recall due to the presence of glass in the finished products.

According to the AP, close to the 3 million boxes of Lean Cuisine, Stouffer’s and DiGiorno are currently being recalled after customers reported finding pieces of glass in the food. Nestlé USA, the food maker of all the brands has stated that the glass may have come from the spinach used in all three products.

The voluntary recall applies only to specific production codes of these products:

Über die Jahre habe ich in meinen Artikeln unter anderem die Begriffe “schleichender Faschismus“, “wachsender Polizeistaat“ und “Niedergang in den Totalitarismus“ benutzt, um die nationale Situation zu beschreiben, in der wir uns wiederfinden. Ich habe oft geschrieben, dass, wenn die Amerikaner sich nicht gegen die unzähligen von Bundes-, Landes- und Lokal-Behörden verabschiedeten Gesetze erheben, wir sehr bald aufwachen und uns in einem orwell’schen Polizeistaat-Albtraum wiederfinden werden.

Jetzt läuft mir jedoch ein kalter Schauer über den Rücken, wann immer ich diese Worte in aktuellen Artikeln lese. Der Grund ist, dass derartige Warnungen so weit hinter ihrer Zeit liegen, dass sie vollkommen nutzlos sind. Tatsächlich könnten sie jedweder Veränderung in der amerikanischen Gesellschaft eher schaden, als sie zu fördern.

Diese Warnungen basieren auf der Annahme, dass die USA bisher noch kein Polizeistaat sei, wenn sich die Dinge nicht ändern, sie in der Zukunft jedoch zu einem werden. Folglich wird den Lesern der Eindruck vermittelt, dass – während ihnen ihre Freiheiten genommen werden – der Polizeistaat irgendwann in der Zukunft kommen wird, sie aber noch reichlich Zeit für ihr eigenes Entertainment haben, bis er dann in Uniform und mit grell aufleuchtenden Neon-Lichtern an die Tür klopft, auf denen steht:

“ACHTUNG!!! POLIZEISTAAT!!!“

Der Polizeistaat kommt aber nicht, er ist bereits da. Die Vereinigten Staaten sind ein Polizeistaat.

Hillary’s Free Education Plan Not So Free

Attempting to revive the rhetorical spirit of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the New Deal, Hillary Clinton unveiled her new plan to alleviate the crushing burden of student debt, calling it a “new college compact.” In truth her goal was to bring in a younger demographic and compete with challenger Bernie Sanders.

Clinton claims her new plan would provide an avenue that would allow students to attend college without taking out loans – essentially a tuition-free college experience. The plan involves the Federal government giving out grants to states to assist in their efforts to send students to college debt-free by setting their rates which students can afford without the necessity of taking out loans. The plan also suggests that it would make community college free as well as reducing interest rates for individuals who are already stuck with student loans.[1]

Clinton suggests that she will pay for the grants, free college, and loan refinancing by “cutting tax deductions for the wealthiest Americans,” and “closing loopholes.” Exactly which deductions would be cut and which loopholes would be closed have yet to be unveiled. Likewise, the definition of the term “wealthiest” is still left open ended. Nor has the rate at which the government will refinance student loans been revealed.[2]

Speculation regarding Hillary’s tax hike centers around figures Obama flirted with early on with little success – the $200,000 mark. Still, given Clinton’s history (and the history of all political parasites), one would be justified in worrying whether or not the proposed tax increases and “loophole” elimination will be extended even further down from the middle class to the working class. [3]

Israeli forces raided Palestinian television station, Palestine Today, and arrested its manager, Farooq Aliat on Friday, March, 11, 2016. 

Clearly, Israel would like to silence this platform and it is attempting to do so by accusing it of backing an Islamic Jihadi militia against the Zionist occupation force. This is quite ironic, of course, since Israel offers terrorists and jihadis operating in Syria and labeled "moderate rebels" with every possible form of support including medical treatment in Israeli hospitals and ambulances on the border.

Those terrorists are not merely stabbing Syrians, they are are professional suicide bombers using car bombs and explosive belts. 

Israel has long used those terrorists to weaken Syria and its military, killing Syrians and forcing them to leave the country, seeking a safer life elsewhere. Moreover, Israel has used them to assassinate high level officers, scientists, and other important figures in Syria. 

We can see the same ideology and disregard for freedom of speech when moderate terrorists, ever since 2011, have been targeting journalists and bombing Syrian television stations. 

Of course, when discussing the sponsors and support of moderate terrorists in Syria, we cannot forget to mention Saudi Arabia and Turkey. 

Recent Assad Torture Report “Caesar” Cited By Mainstream Media Debunked By Researchers

On January 20, 2014, only two days before negotiations were set to begin over Syria in Switzerland, a now famous report was released claiming to hold photographic evidence of Bashar al-Assad’s brutality against his own people and institutional torture programs in place by the Syrian government. The report, whose source was an alleged “defector” going only by the name of “Caesar,” and photos he allegedly took at a Syrian government military hospital, was touted as evidence of Assad’s cruelty and an example of how the Syrian president was committing war crimes reminiscent of Nazi Germany.

The report was plastered all across Western media, television screens, and internet sites in perfect timing to disrupt any hope of a negotiated end to the Western-backed violence in Syria (at a time when the Syrian government was experiencing serious setbacks). Ever since, that report and the related photos have repeatedly crept back into the media spotlight at convenient times when massive propaganda blitzes against the Syrian government were being put in place or when key decisions were being made.

In October, 2014, I wrote an article entitled “7 Reasons To Doubt Latest ‘Holocaust’ Claims Against Assad,” where I outlined several discrepancies in the report, competing agendas regarding its release, and other questionable aspects including:

1.) The Gulf State Feudal Monarchy Qatar is the sponsor of one of the main reports and “reviews” of the photographs.

2.) The source of the report and photographs

Americans are only beginning to realize what a colossal mistake allowing the passage of the Affordable Health Care Act actually was. Far from being true universal health care delivery (a system that could easily be created by taxing Wall Street turnover), Obamacare was nothing more than a combination of forced participation in a private market and the ultimate rationing of that health care once the purchase of insurance was made.[1]

Since the passage of the AHA, Americans have seen the premiums they have been forced to buy from private insurers sky-rocket in cost while those on government-based healthcare programs like Medicare and Medicaid have seen cuts and gutting.[2] [3] Those large numbers of individuals who are unable to afford coverage, do not have it provided by their employers, or not enrolled in a government program, are forced to either buy extremely expensive plans or go without. For those that go without, a massive tax penalty awaits at the end of the year. This has succeeded in creating an entire class of Americans who pay large sums of money without actually receiving health care.

In addition, those fortunate enough to receive healthcare through their employers are subject to a special tax at the end of the year to ensure that every American loses something in the deal.

Even more concerning is the trend toward rationing, an inevitable aspect of the law that was part of the plan from the very beginning. With cuts to government programs and, at the same time, forcing Americans to buy private insurance plans, dire decisions will be made by insurance boards and oversight committees such as the CCCCER as well as Medicare and Medicaid boards. Health care decisions will be based on “cost-effectiveness” instead of what is best for the patient.[4]

The imperialist agenda of NATO has been suffering significant setbacks in Syria over recent months as the SAA – with the help of the Russians, the Iranians, and Hezbollah – has been steadily defeating terrorist forces and liberating areas previously held by them. A steady stream of victories in the two weeks leading up to the bad faith ceasefire agreement, encouraged by Western powers and agreed to by Russia, has also served to drive yet another nail into the coffin of the morale of the NATO terrorist proxies.

Clearly, the United States, NATO, the GCC, Israel, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia are all beginning to realize that it is much harder to defeat a united front, particularly when the unity is between regional and international power players like Iran and Russia. Thus, the most reasonable strategy (aside from abandoning immoral and unwise imperialist adventures) is to break up that united front both on the diplomatic and on the military plane.

An attempt has already been made to disrupt the Lebanese government by means of a color revolution some months ago. However, recent reports have revealed a possible plan by Turkey and Saudi Arabia (in concert with the rest of the anti-Syrian powers) to open up a second front of terrorist destabilization in northern Lebanon. The result of such a plan would not only be to increase instability on southwestern Syrian borders and eliminate a friendly state (or at least a non-hostile one) from any positive diplomatic or state-to-state action between Syria and Lebanon but it would also draw Hezbollah back into the Lebanese borders and out of the fight in Syria.

In addition, a destabilization of Lebanon and the creation of a “northern front” in Lebanon manned by terrorist forces would effectively cut supply lines, communications, and reinforcement capabilities from its Syrian counterparts. Likewise, the supply lines and reinforcement shipments coming from Iran would severely be hampered.

Call It What It Is: America Is A Police State

Over the years in my own articles, I have used the terms “creeping fascism,” “growing police state,” and “descent into totalitarianism” among others to describe the domestic situation in which we find ourselves. I have often written that, if Americans do not stand up to the myriad of laws being passed by Federal, State, and local governments we will soon wake up to find ourselves in an Orwellian police state nightmare.

Now, however, I cringe whenever I read those words in contemporary articles. This is because such warnings are so far past their time they are utterly useless. In fact, they may do more to hurt any potential for change in American society than they do to promote it.

These warnings work on the supposition that the U.S. is not a police state yet but, if things do not change, it will become one in the future. Thus, the readers are left with the impression that, while their freedoms are being taken away, the police state is somewhere down the road -in the future - and they have plenty of time to entertain themselves until it comes knocking on their door with a uniform and a bright flashing neon sign that says “ATTENTION!!! POLICE STATE!!!.”

But the police state is not coming – it is here.

The United States is a police state.

Americans may not be able to admit it to themselves but the military soldiers parading on the streets as police officers, police-operated tanks, and horrifying number of imprisoned citizens have spoken for them. The number of Americans brutalized physically and mentally by those who are sworn to “serve and protect” are speaking clearly enough.
